2008-OZ The New Flavour

The year of the popcorn and donut boardies, Bev the beer, I know what you did last summer!! AND The year my mate Angus Chapman got attacked by a shark at the Cocos Islands ! Bad luck for chapman, Great PR for OZ ! thru an oz tee on him in the hospital, news crews from everywhere rocked up... everyone wanted to interview  the aussie Oz tee shirt wearing kid!!

Inspiration for summer 2008 came to me after visiting the most incredible lollie shop in Denver airport Colorado. I had been snowboarding in Steamboat with my family. After an amazing few weeks in the states, Hawaii, la and san francisco. I knew it was time to go home, back to school and also a  fast approaching dead line for my new  2008 range! I walked around the airport for a few hours killing time, before the dreaded long flight to LA , Sydney and home to perth . I stumbled across a lollie shop . Suddenly the  vibrant colours and shapes of all the lollies  started jumping out at me, visions of candy covered boardies started filling my head !  Popcorn, donuts  and mad PEZ men !  I took lots of pics but the candy coloured images were firmly etched in my head.I couldn't wait to get home to my computer and start designing.  The rest... as they say is now history , oh yer ,and i saw plenty of sweet arses  last summer on our beaches!!   this was OZ summer 2008
