Tylan Lambert
Tylan Lambert, age 17, has grown up in the coastal surf town of Yallingup, Western Australia. Tylan started painting at around 12 under the guidance of local artist Florence Clements, focusing on his love of the ocean and surfing. Tylan has been selling and exhibiting his artworks for nearly six years now and in 2005 Tylan won the Peoples Choice award at the Dunsborough Lions Art Show.In 2006 he was Runner Up Peoples Choice, then in 2007 he won the best Pastel Painting. Living within walking distance from iconic surf beaches Tylan developed a love for surfing and in late 2009 Tylan joined the OceanZone surf team. In 2009 and 2010 he was invited to Exhibit in the annual Taj’s Small Fries Exhibition run by Billabong. Through the help of OZ, Tylan was invited to exhibit in the 2011 Komune Art Project on the Gold Coast for the Quiksilver Pro. Whilst at the Komune Resort, Tylan painted a mural roughly 8m by 2m for Corona, a picturesque piece of pumping surf and beers being shared At the moment Tylan is in his gap year, surfing, travelling and painting during this time Tylan hopes to better promote himself as a surf artist and one day travel the world surfing and painting.
